Consciously Inspired Living

I believe that the world can change when we make conscious decisions with our purchases.

Sustainability.

Good for you and for the environment.

Ethically made or sourced.

I love to support companies that have a heart and soul. Companies that do their best to minimize their impact on the environment, who support local and give back to our communities. I want to make an impact on the health of my family, our global community, and our planet.

Together we can make the world a better place.

So naturally, when it came to essential oils, I wanted to be sure that I was purchasing from a company that I trust.

The brand of essential oils that I trust and love is dōTERRA essential oils.

Things to consider before buying essential oils

I’m sure by now that you’ve heard of essential oils. You can buy them pretty much anywhere these days. The mall, the gas station, the big box store. But, have you stopped to consider who you are buying your essential oils from?

Are they safe to use? Hint…when it says for aromatic use only, I would caution you that the oil you purchased at the mall or big box store isn’t pure therapeutic grade essential oil.

Does the company have a sustainable and ethical sourcing model? If you can’t find any information anywhere about where a brand’s essential oil is sourced, then I would not assume it is what it says on the bottle. Transparency is key here.

Simply put. The essential oil industry isn’t regulated, similar to the cosmetic industry. So it’s important to do your own research.

dōTERRA essential oils have therapeutic benefits that will support your emotional and your physical health. As a mom, this is highly important to me. I love knowing that the dōTERRA oils that we use daily in our home are good for us, good for the environment and good for our global community.

Why I love dōTERRA essential oils

Purity. dōTERRA wanted to create a purity level that goes beyond organic. They created an internal standard called Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade that is verified by 3rd party testing laboratories. The oils are tested 7 different ways to ensure that they are pure and safe for therapeutic use.

Co-Impact Sourcing. This was really important for me. dōTERRA carefully selects and sources their essential oils from over 40 different nations. This initiative seeks to develop long-term, mutually beneficial supplier partnerships while creating sustainable jobs and providing income in underdeveloped areas.

Charitable Giving. I have always believed highly in the importance of giving back. The dōTERRA Healing Hands Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to bring healing and hope to the world, for lives free of disease and poverty, and ultimately to empower impoverished communities with the tools needed to become self-reliant.

“Oftentimes, experienced essential oil farmers, harvesters, growers, and distillers in underdeveloped areas are paid unfairly or taken advantage of, limiting their ability to escape poverty. Co-Impact Sourcing provides the tools needed to help lift these families and communities out of poverty and promote economic development. dōTERRA adheres to additional Sourcing Guiding Principles when working in developing nations.” – dōTERRA Source To You website
